An Artist's Struggle.
By Jancy Vasquez
Throughout the centuries new art and different type of Artistic Movements have been created. I myself enjoy art and I would not trade it for anything in the world. Young artist knows the sorts of struggles there are, even if art is just a hobby. Artist will be the best when they try to be the best.
Being an artist is fun, but when it comes to you medium, you must find yourself first that is, before you can create art. Amazing past artist have created new sorts of mediums for us to use, but a few that have rose are watercolor (calligraphy), digital art, and Copic. There are struggles within each medium and I can name a few.
I love water color, but it can be thought. Knowing that water is an important factor can be a struggle itself. Mixing and making your own shade with water can be hard, because we know that using white to make the color lighter, will only actually make the color duller. The brushes can be worst. You must find the perfect brush with a perfect tip, to create those amazing details in your art. Sometimes it can take a while and its water absorbance is very important. Watercolor is fun and relaxing but, you may just want amazing art.
A struggle I have heard of is; being a digital artist. Many artists don't consider digital art, art. You obtain the help from a computer. You technically don't make the art yourself, but you still but forth an effort. You should still be considered an artist. We know that you sure did spend $100 on the Photoshop software, for you to create amazing art.
Sometimes you can't afford to create the art you want. Copic brand is a very good brand, and it sure does its job. They are just so expensive. Why should I have to pay $45 for 10 markers. That's absurd. That's a struggle. I am willing to spend a reasonable amount of money for art supplies, but I will not pay $10 for one marker. There are plenty of different markers for a more reasonable price. Why do alcohol based markers have to be so expensive? I don't know, but you won't find me buying Copic, unless they are given.
Why should all artist struggle? Without struggles there is not success. We can only hope for the better. Art evolves and there are new and improved art movements during different eras. We know how to appreciate art, but we must know how to love what we create, with what we have.
